Fatal Blow

Fatal Blow

History

Workington, West Cumbria based RAC band, formed in summer 1986. The original line-up was Roger vocals, Cookie on guitar, Norm on bass and Sid on drums, all of whom had previously been in the Oi! band Public Disorder who split-up in 1982. Sid was replaced in March 1987, by Ron. ‘Sid’ was given this nick name on account of his father working for the police in the C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Department). His real name was John Kevin Wilshaw who in 2017 unbelievably renounced his nationalist views and revealed he was actually Jewish, through his mother, and was an active homosexual.

They played only one gig on 17th July 1987 supporting Condemned 84 in Newcastle.

Not to be confused with the non-political 1980’s Oi! band from Cardiff with the same name that went on to become part of the so-called Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (S.H.A.R.P.) gang.
