Waredigaeth

Waredigaeth

History

Waredigaeth were a nationalist folk band from Swansea, Wales. Waredigaeth is a Welsh word meaning “resistance”. Their first debut gig was in Coventry area for Blood and Honour West Midland’s Division Halloween gig on 20th October 2012. They then played a gig for South Wales National Front in December and again at the B & H London’s Calling gig in January 2013. By now the band had changed their name to Redneck 28. Because nobody could pronounce Waredigaeth or knew what it meant!

The three piece band played two guitars and one banjo and had one vocalist and backing vocals. Their set would include several Johnny Rebel and Skrewdriver covers, and confederate USA anthems alongside a few of the bands own written songs.
