London Branch
History
London Branch were an early RAC band from South-East London formed in 1980. With Liam Walsh on vocals, Tel Michard on guitar, Tel Quinn on bass and Del Carthy on drums.
Their first gig was at Skunx in Islington, north London supporting The 4-Skins.
The band played regularly with the 4-Skins, Skrewdriver, Combat 84, The Ovaltinees, and The Die Hards.
In 1983 they recorded a demo tape with the plan to issue the track Bulldog Breed on the White Noise Records label. Unfortunately, this never happened. The band were effectively black listed by the music media, had gigs cancelled by the police and members were regularly arrested.
