Another Man’s Poison
History
Founded in the winter of 1991 in Cambridgeshire, UK. The original line up was The original line-up was: Charlie Hall on vocals moving from the drums, Jason Hughes on lead guitar, Dave Childs on rhythm guitar, Alan Swain on bass guitar and Darren Romain on drums.
In the earliest phase, the band even experimented with two trumpets, giving their sound a more ska‑leaning edge before settling into a more traditional Oi! direction.
After the departure of the trumpet players and several lineup shifts, the band developed a distinctive style they described as “street rock ’n’ roll”, blending classic Oi! grit with melodic punk energy.
By 1993, the lineup had changed significantly, leaving Charlie Hall as the only remaining original member. Members around this period were Big Charlie C. on lead guitar (1993–95), George on rhythm guitar (1993–95), Ash on drums (1993–95) and Jason Stretton on bass (1994–95).
Whilst their discography remained small the band was influential in the 1990’s Oi! movement.
The band disbanded in 1995, after roughly four years of activity, lineup instability, and a handful of well‑regarded releases that earned them a cult following in the Oi! and punk underground.
