Pressure 28
History
British Oi! band originally founded in the early 1990’s Oldham, Manchester. The name comes from a local scooter club and refers to the tyre pressure of a Lambretta scooter of 28 psi. The band have had a few gigs cancelled when they were starting out due to people assuming 28 stood for the neo-Nazi Blood & Honour organisation.
They had quite a few line up changes before remaining as Kev Gough on vocals, Jason Arnold guitar, Colin Baker on bass and Nick Millington on drums. This was the line up which started off gigging and recording. By 1994 the band lost their practice venue and with work taking up more time and the band having to cancel some gigs the lads called it a day after playing around 20 live gigs.
The bands 2009 Dodging The Bullets four-track mini-CD is a really a demo to showcase the return of the band. Who made a quick tour of the USA and played in New York and Boston with some other American Oi! bands.
The current line up is Kev on vocals, Ade on bass, Rich on guitar, and Stu on drums.
